Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have a pleasure of informing you about the Conference entitled Education in Allergy, Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease in Warsaw on the 25-28.06.2008 that will take place.

This Conference is unique: specifically designed for physicians, nurses, and patients who deal with bronchial asthma, allergy, and chronic obturative pulmonary disease. For the third time such a Conference is being organized. However, it is the first with The European Federation of Asthma (EFA) time that we have organized it. We invited several prominent scientists from all over the world to give lectures. We plan that several hundred people will participate in this Conference.

The aims of this Conference are: necessary patient's education, promotion of the pulmonary rehabilitation, palliative care in the incurable respiratory diseases, the widest possible ban of smoking, and possibility to introduce specialization in pulmonology for nurses.
This Conference will also be a chance to exchange experience among these three groups of individuals interested in the problems of the most common respiratory diseases, talks not in the physician's practice or hospital but during this Conference coffee breaks. The Conference takes also takes part in contemporary medicine in which the treatment involves the whole team (doctors, nurses, rehabilitation specialists, and others), and the cooperation with the patient becomes of the utmost importance as well as his knowledge of the disease and responsibility for their own health.

This Conference is also an occasion to turn decision-makers attention to the problems which will be discussed.
